Call for participation at our international symposium and exchange for professionals
October 9th-10th, 2013
Within the framework of the 11th international MitOst-Festival in October 2013 in Leipzig, we would like to invite you to a symposium for professionals in the field of contemporary art mediation. This will include panels, guided tours, a public talk about ideas of art mediation focused on art interventions in public spaces and will set up at GfZK (Museum of Contemporary Art Leipzig (Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst)) and the independent art centre HALLE 14. In different panels participants discuss and exchange their experiences and opinion on various ways of art mediation, challenges and international experiences. Professionals from Leipzig and Cairo will give impulse talks, and an art intervention by Associació Cultural TripleZeta [zzz] from Spain will be presented. The exchange focusses on the mediation of contemporary art.
The symposium starts on Wednesday, October 9 at 9:30 and lasts until Thursday, October 10, finishing with a public talk as part of the MitOst-Festival programme. The opening of the MitOst-Festival on Wednesday evening is part of the programme.

In the form please make sure to indicate the proper dates of arrival and departure and add the sentence ‘I’m herewith also signing up for the international symposium ABOUT MEDIATION OF ART, on October 9-10’. The additional accommodation from October 8-9 will be covered, as well as part of the the travel costs in the framework of the MitOst-Festival (please see the above link for further information on this).
The food allowance for lunch and coffee breaks during the symposium is 15 €, which shall be paid on spot.
